Drenched in emotions
the words spill across the page
from the gaping wound of my mind.

Angry words of raw red rage,
alliterations wet with weeping,
warring with wisdom.
wondering why we won't win.

A heart that is ailing continues railing,
till drained and paling,
finally failing.

Life poured out onto the page
to lie
in state
of mind.
