Giving Up Chocolate, by sharonrenee Subscribe to rss feed for sharonrenee

Your eyes
Dark pools of brown
Deep, knowing, honest.
Look at me,
Through those angular glasses.
But even glasses can not hide their beauty,
Not from me at least.
The perfect eyes.
So keen and intelligent.
Dark and Sweet.
Makes me think of chocolate.
One of my favorite things.
But, I would give up all the chocolate in the world for
you.
Your love.
How I long to hear you say those words.
And you know which three I mean.
To hold your hand.
To feel your kiss.
Nothing would taste so sweet as your kisses.
Not even chocolate.
Your eyes.
I love when they look at me.
But they see me as just a friend.
Or is that your heart?
The only thing I resent in your eyes.
You tell me about your girlfriend.
You have shown me pictures.
The one from the dance.
You two dancing.
Made my heart bleed.
She was so close.
You held her like you never wanted to let go.
Never.
When you hug me,
Brief embrace.
You let go.
Cuz you wanna.
In my heart I know it cant last.
But how many more girlfriends will I have to watch?
How many more dances will you dance,
Before I get mine?
Will I at all?
I would give all the chocolate in the world for your love.
If I don’t get that,
I wish for your happiness.
With all my heart.
With whichever girl you choose.
I would give everything for your happiness.
Well, except chocolate.
Because, after all,
A girl with a broken heart needs something to fall back on.

Ah- a poem about Sharon's two loves =p The last part reminds me of the bit about chocolate in the rules of the Sisterhood. I know your poems make you sad, but they make me sad too. Prob. cause we share a soul. That's my guess...
