My Dance, by Austin Hoehn Subscribe to rss feed for Austin Hoehn

I celebrate myself and sing my song, as I dance my dance
like the million stars tha I gaze upon.
My eyes that seem to sparkle alternating rhythmically
with the stars that light the vastness of the evening sky.
My love for myself and my love for the world vibrates
through the vastness of my being, and out through my feet,
back into the earth that recharges all that lives. My dreams
that go on for miles, like the tail of a shooting star that
shoots through the darkness of the night. My smile that
glows even during the day,it shows like the stars of
night.
When I look at the stars they seem to say to me
come dance
come sing
come laugh and celebrate
for you are young till you last breath,
then your soul lights in the sky as it passes
on and then that flame starts to
dance,
sing, and celebrate life and invites all others to join in.
So I celebrate myself and all the things that make life
dance
sing and celebrate.

I celebrate like a newborn's fist cry that brings him into
life
and the sun that warms the earth and makes our skin glow.
I celebrate like a kitten so warm that stretches in the sun
beaming
through the window,
or a rainbow that is like the light at the end of the
storm.
I celebrate your favorite song that magically gets played
just at the right time.
I celebrate a down filled blanket that comforts you after a
long day,
like a mother's enfolding arms.
I dance with the ice skaters that glide with grace and
control holding their bodies so taught and straight.
I dance like the candle lit dinner with the one you love as
their eyes sparkle with the candle light reflection.
I dance with a vass amount of people gathered together
filling the room with viberation as they lift their voices
to sing songs.
I laugh like a child's smile that reminds me of the shining
stars that I gaze upon. I see every child full of potential,
which stretches farther then
the stars in the sky.
I laugh as my gaze breaks free from the starry sky and I
look at the world around me as a whole and I notice...

Children of all nationalities and religions
playing
laughing
singing
together holding hands in a circle.
I sing when I see people enjoying simple things in life
and showing passion for the world's enviroments,
doing their best to make the world a better place.
I smile when I see people helping other people without a
second thought, it fills me with joy and happiness and gives
me just one more reason to
dance
sing and celebrate myself and the world around me.
If you want to know why I dance just ask the stars and they
will reply
" come dance
come sing
come laugh and celebrate.
for you are young until your last breath."

This is quite good; it shows excellent imagery, and has good rhythm that fits the theme nicely.
