Even Though I Am Chained, by Austin Hoehn Subscribe to rss feed for Austin Hoehn

Even though I am chained up by my thoughts of you, I am
happy.
I am happy to see you,
listen to you,
talk with you,
be with you,
cuddle up with you,
everything that has to do with you.
Every time I am with you my heart grows fonder.
Every time I am held by you I am spoiled,
by your appreciation of the simple things in life.
At noon with the reflection of the sun in the water,
at dusk riding of into the sunset,
at night under the golden moon and shining stars.
I am amazed by your charm, your soft, but firm grasp of my
hand wrapped inside yours.
Every time I am with you, by you.
I want to say something and I will soon,
but I don't want to ruin what we have started,
by my overly impassioned, languishing tongue.
I want to linger in every moment we have together.
I want to drift away with you every chance I get to gaze at
you looking at me with
those soft brown eyes.
I feel so good just being with you the most simple, but
amazing form of human connection, presence.
your presence.
you amaze me,
just by being
you.

I haven't had so many feelings like this bubbling inside of
me for a long time. I use to write poetry, but lastly I
haven't had the inspiration, nor motivation to do so. But,
with you my heart starts to sing and my mind is filled with
words that my heart tells me to write (type.) I am so very
thrilled to have met you, for you to be part of my life. I
hope what we have will last for a life time which I don't
feel is long enough.
