Tomorrow, by Cutie In A Death Cab Subscribe to rss feed for Cutie In A Death Cab

I don't want to face tomorrow
It will be just like today
With rainclouds screaming lullabies
In a sky that's dark and gray

I don't want to face tomorrow
I don't want to fall asleep
Because when I awake
A brand new day will creep

I don't want to face tomorrow
I can't face my life
I can't stare it in the eyes
Where problems seem so rife

I don't want to face tomorrow
With dawn comes a false light
It brightens up the sky
But shadows suggest nite

I don't want to face tomorrow
I can hardly face today
With rainclouds screaming lullabies
In a sky that's dark and gray

I like this one a lot. I understand how even in my optimistic view of life that it is hard to face another day.

Great poem. It's so true. I like the band Death Cab for Cutie, especially the song "Soul Meets Body."
