Please Say Goodbye, by Cutie In A Death Cab Subscribe to rss feed for Cutie In A Death Cab

I remember we used to talk all night
Spilling our hearts in the dim light
We shared the poems that we would write
Everything just felt so right

Nothing compares to the time we spent
But now I don't know where you went

I remember laying on your warm bed
On your pillow I rested my head
Thoughts of leaving filled me with dread
So I held on tight to the things you said

Nothing compares to the time we spent
But now I don't know where you went

I can't forget you
As hard as I try
For me to let go
I need your goodbye

Please say goodbye

I remember your third floor apartment window
And watching the people pass down below
Looking out at the city, the lights would glow
It was too good to be true and now I know

Nothing compares to the time we spent
But now I don't know where you went

I remember sharing hot cups of coffee
You told me your secrets, you trusted me
I spilled to you too, you set me free
We tossed our pain into the deep sea

Nothing compares to the time we spent
But now I don't know where you went

Did you even get the letter I sent?
I wrote to tell you about the dent
That formed in my life now that you're gone
The void you left has become so strong

I can't forget you
As hard as I try
For me to let go
I need your goodbye

Please say goodbye

Please say goodbye

Please say goodbye

I need your goodbye

Please, say goodbye

Very few poems have both beautiful language and beautiful flow. You tie both of them in perfectly. I enjoyed reading your poem.
