Walking in the Rain, by cerindipity Subscribe to rss feed for cerindipity

My steps coincide with the beat
shuffling steps with every note
lights reflected in the street
gently step over a sidewalk moat.

She runs ahead, sniff and bark
the cars rush past my open head
melodic sounds like a sing-song lark
earth is raising from the dead.

Sky is black and stars are high
my thoughts are lost in song
rain hits my eyelids, once were dry
my life and path, what I take, is long.
