Baby Girl (it's not really a poem, but it expresses my feelings), by Your Everlasting Subscribe to rss feed for Your Everlasting

A little girl left without a dad,
alone and completly sad.
Three years old on Christmas day,
phone call in the morning to say,
"I'm sorry, your dad's dead."
Mommy said.

I covered my ears and cried
as my whole world crumbled.
My dad was gone form me forever,
not another hug or laugh, never.
Ripped away by a loved one,
your own sister, my aunt.

She shot you and didn't care
all I could do was stair.
Running to you as I yelled.
Self defense you said
and a little girl could do nothing
as her daddy lay dead.

A little girl who was her daddy's world.
A baby girl who wanted love,
she wanted a daddy
and an aunt took him from her.
A baby girl who lost everything,
you should feel sorry.

Same baby girl at sixteen years old,
she's beautiful and independent,
and also working to get her aunt
into prison which she deserves.
One day was never enough for justice,
but one day this baby girl is going to have justice.
