Dont let salt embed this gash
Simple looks with they eyes do lash
Reverse the current towards upstream
How a single love doth dream

The first touch still lingers near
If only they would return here
Shadow of a girl left behind
Plagued with thoughts of a different kind
Merciless as she grasps at air
Evisions the love that once stood there

Within him twas all personified
Honest truth in which she cried
Through his manner love returned
Least she knows the lessons learned

Up high on a hill she sits to grieve
Aware of betrayal she allowed to weave
Friend has now become the foe
Ignorance refused to let it show

Throughout the day words do repeat
Concentrated they surge with heat
Gazes the direction in which he went
Feelings emerge she would rather repent

Now foe and he meander through time
Justice calls it the near sublime
Except a broken heart cannot heal
Least until it endeavours to feel

Yet how does one allow to be taught
When from a fall can only be caught
Perhaps in another shall find the key
On contrare it is found within thee

Gorgeous poem, i love how your style is rooted in a more traditional kind of poetry, but uses phrasing that is sometimes more modern and relatable. Very nice work.
