Advice: Take it Or Leave it, by Tyler Cedric Golden Subscribe to rss feed for Tyler Cedric Golden

Stop! Now check this out in reverse,
What if you were the one saying these words?
Would it make you hurt?
Or bring regret,
Hopefully you haven’t missed a step,
And done your best
Putting your body and mind to the test,
To defeat all the rest,
And get passed this course,
To sit there and remorse,
And think about your life,
Every step and every moment accomplished by a fight,
Between you and the obstacle sitting in front,
And as you run and punt,
Don’t mess up your essence like as if you’re the runt,
Listen, stop, come on lets go,
Watch every body, don’t listen and show,
Like you care,
Just ignore any one anywhere,
Don’t be gullible and give out your trust,
Like you believing any one is your heart’s lust,
Because it’s not, people betray one another,
As you will discover
If you’re not careful and listen close,
Because other people in this world out there need you the
most,
Or more than some one else,
Try to provide your help,
But don’t show weakness, and don’t question,
The power of suggestion
For advice can be given to any one who listens,
Whoever ignores it will be missing,
Certain things they might need to get by,
Instead of getting shot or getting high,
People cry,
And people die,
No one completely understands why,
Or even acts like they care,
Until something occurs,
Then they wished they would have listened to your last
words,
So they could remember your love,
But now all is forgotten and lost above,
Because if you don’t pay attention and listen to what
others say,
Your life could end without that advice another day,
I don’t speak big, but I speak loud,
To show every one that I am proud,
That I tell of truth,
And of abuse,
From this world, this planet in which we dwell,
Watch every step in your life so you don’t end up in
hell,
What I say may seem repeated,
But I am just making sure you’re focused so your essence
isn’t defeated,
By betrayal or by over looking,
When you don’t show up at dinner for moms cooking,
You wonder why,
Why did you die?
How did it happen? Now every one starts to cry,
And others look down in disappointment; I told you that you
should’ve listened to what I said,
But now you have a bullet wound in your head,
And all that pours out is red,
Now you’re lying there,
On the ground,
Dead…..

I adore the ending. So to the point yet eloquent at the same time.
