Our Shared Feelings, by Danny Wilson Subscribe to rss feed for Danny Wilson

To all you Poets out there who share your grief
I do hope and pray sharing gives you some relief
Some who read our poems think its mostly from our mind
To those all I can say is your so very unkind
For most of us our poetry comes from within
It also brings relief and helps us to unwind
To share our pain yes because each has aches
and sorrow, tears shed while on our own
We often think its our life we have blown
From words said perhaps in haste
But once said its hard to retract
The damage is done and that's a fact
We have all been there at one time or another
Hurt by a Mum Dad Sister or Brother
Or perhaps by a loved one or another
No matter who, the pain is just the same
We feel so scared lonely and afraid
Yes confused at times when doubts set in
Was it me at fault? was it really a mortal sin
Am I really the one who do not belong
Why am I always the one who is in the wrong
We try to get answers but mostly it's in vain
Try to talk to make sense, when all it does is
start all over again

I really like this poem. Its speaks the truth about what lies behind the words of a poet's poem. Thank you so much for your comments on my poems.

Yes the poem i wrote " Stolen gift" was about an unborn child. I had a miscarriage and it was really painful because I was so excited about having that little one. I'm glad to hear that someone else had gone through a similar experience. I am sorry for your loss I hope that reading my poem brought a little comfort in knowing that you and your partner are not alone as I'm sure we share the same pain in losing a little one.
