Blackbird sing your song to me,
Sing of the spirit of the old oak tree,
Sing of the Green Man, the Goddess and the land,
Sing of the earth from the hlls to the sand.

Blackbird sings his song to me,
I see the Otherworld glisten within he,
I see his wings stretch out and take the wind,
I see him fly away to join his native kin.

Blackbird sung his song to me,
A song so sad yet he sung it merrily,
I saw him fly away never to return,
Until the cold has left and the Beltane fires burn.
