Story book ending, by sharonrenee Subscribe to rss feed for sharonrenee

Once upon a dream went by,
Fading though the past.
What went wrong?
How does this work?
Why can’t this romance last?

Here I am.
I sit, I stare,
Into your dark brown eyes.
No one gives a damn about me,
Or the tears I cry.

You were a dream, a fantasy.
You made me loose my mind.
Your charm,
How you entrance me so.
It even makes me rhyme.

Reading truths, I must accept,
It was never meant to be.
You were so strong,
And I so dumb.
You never wanted me.

I should have seen it from the start.
What was there to see.
Well tough luck.
That is all there is.
Not story book ending for me.

I try so hard to get over you,
For I know I must.
You do not love me,
You never will.
I must escape this lust.

A grave truth I must accept,
As a tear roles down my face.
How I wish,
To feel your kiss,
And your sweet embrace.

They lived happily ever after.
Never for me, Its true.
But just this,
You need to know.
That I will always love you.

I don't believe I ever commented this one. All your poems about him make me so sad!!! And they remind me of... me. So that doesn't help. Anyway, this is very well written. I think the pacing could use a little work, but I like the overall "Happily ever after" theme. OMG Thursday!! *Kim
