The Journey, by Blackened_Sky Subscribe to rss feed for Blackened_Sky

I watch it all go bye
Life is full of trails and ills
But lets all take a moment
And try to stay still
Feel warm in yourself
For its who you are
don’t let anyone tell you
Or you’ll never get far
Be yourself
I sit on a raft in my minds eye
On a river tears
That thousands have cried
But the motion is gentle
And not filled with fear
I sit here and watch my life
go passing year by year
And the banks
they maybe far
you could swim
But that’s not who you are
As I go further down the river
I must leave you behind
I’m not trying to be unkind
I want to swim to shore
But I’d be wrong
The shore is safe
But the river is where I belong
So I have to go the journey is long
I don’t know where I’m going
I don’t know where I came from
All I know is my journey will last
Till I’m gone
