So we think we're all deep

Are we as deep as a pool

Are we really just skin deep

Or as deep as a fool

We like to believe that in God we trust

But his belief in us is turning into rust

 

So we think we're all smart

We're only as smart as men

Can you really be a smart-arse

Or as smart as a hen

We like to believe that God would die on the cross

But he sent his son so he could remain the boss

 

But if God is real, then who created God

Who's the Creator of the Creator, the Creator of a sod

And if we created God in the backs of our minds

Then we are Creators, the Creators of our finds

 

So we think we're all respectable

As respectable as a king

But are we respectable

When onto other people we cling

We like to believe that we respect God's power

But nowadays we pray for an electric shower

 

But if God is real, then who created God

Who's the Creator of the Creator, the Creator of a sod

And if we created God in the backs of our minds

Then we are Creators, the Creators of our finds

 

And if God could hear this, 

would he applaud my nerve

Or would he bounce me like a tennis ball,

and gracefully make his serve
