Ode to the Belly Button, by Sandwich Massacre Subscribe to rss feed for Sandwich Massacre

I look down at my tummy and see a hole
Maybe it’s for a marble, or just a little bowl
If I stick my finger in it, I can dig for gold
Maybe out will jump a little mole
So hey, I hear they gave it a name!
It’s just a little hole but they don’t see it the same
So hey, I wanna go to Maine
And they call it a belly button, yeah, a belly button
They call it a belly button, baby
So I put my finger in it
And give it a push
I push it like a button
And my skin went smoosh
Waited for something to happen
Maybe a light would go on
Or maybe I’d start dancing
Or sound like a farm
But nothing happened
Stupid belly button
It needs to be rewired
Then when I push it, something will go on fire!
FIRE FIRE FIRE FIRE!
I look down at my tummy and see a depression
I can’t hook it to some wires, and put it in suspension
If I gained a lot of weight it would succumb to expansion
If I weighed 1000 pounds it would be like a mansion!
So hey, I hear they gave it a name!
The type of name that caused some pain
So hey, who wants to go to Maine?
In Maine… In Maine… They call it a
BELLY BUTTON! Wooo yeah, a belly button
Let’s go to Boston and eat a Fajita!

*Laughs* Wow... this poem is highly entertaining! Where do you come up with stuff like this? Good work!

it was a cold february day, i was all but 14 and enjoying this strange little thing that apparently adam and eve didn't have. or so they say. and at that moment, it felt special enough to write a song about it.
