Im breathing into my lungs
The dream that keeps me alive
Memories of you still linger around
Without them I couldn't survive

Upon my eyelids your face smiles back
And your arm is around me as I sleep
The beat of your heart resounds in my ears
And your love I have, to keep

Yet each day I can not see you
Though I feel you by my side
And during the night I can't feel you
Though you wiped the tears that I cried

And I love you to my detriment
Since missing you is acute pain
But I need you to be ever present
For only you can keep me sane

And Im always scared I shall lose you
To one who is better than me
Yet you tell me such a girl does not exist
But I dont see how that could be

For to me you are solidarity
Our love is consistant and pure
But when others cross our path
The jealousy I can't endure

And now is not our time I know
We are only at the start
Yet how much longer must we wait
To steal each other's heart

I think you took mine already
For part of me went with you
And the fact I still feel you here
Well perhaps I stole one too

Knowing you makes me happy
And Im so thankful to my fate
I'm waiting here to start forever
And I beg you not to be too late

Come back to me tomorrow
Hold me close as you take my hand
Lead me to our future
And then we will understand

Our past was for a reason
It was to bring us to this day
When we can say I love you
And know the other is allowed to stay
