Hopes, by Zanna Subscribe to rss feed for Zanna

Hopes higher than clouds in the sky
Thrown so suddenly to drown in the sea
Guess what, yet again, this heart of mine
Is ripped into pieces, hey, lucky me

Temporarily happy, thought I had a chance
I should learn by now I should not think like that
I should have left it alone, kept it inside
But once again let my hopes override

It wasn’t intended, its no ones fault
Except my own, yet again, what a big surprise
Should have left it to be, I was happy before
But now I sit here staring darkly at the floor

You’d think I would learn, ignore my hopes
But I know what will happen next time
Exactly the same, as always, my hopes
Win out and rip up this heart of mine
