Rape, by Lauren Subscribe to rss feed for Lauren

Dark, lonely, crying
RAPE, RAPE, RAPE
feeling also alone
THERE IS NO ESCAPE
mother always warned you,
your friends told you the same
‘Promise you wont go meet him’
you have only urself to blame.

I knew I shouldnt have gone
what a stupid thing to do
I never thought it would happen to me
like you think it’l never happen to you

Sitting on the dark cold floor
shivering in the cold
crying pity to herself
with no one here to hold

Passers by just looking
not really sparing a thought
for the poor girl sitting on the pavement
a harsh lesson was she taught

2 years on she’s different
not as loud as she used to be
keeping herself to herself
a picture for others to see

Something like rape can cut
just as shape as any blade
and those cuts leave scars upon the souls
them scars that never fade
