Sunrise to sunset., by Sara Subscribe to rss feed for Sara

Just like the sunrise he awoke before me,
Just like the sunrise he looked out and cared for me,
Just like the sunrise he shone bright in my eyes,
Just like the sunrise he hid behind clouds,

Just like the clouds dreamy and pale,
Just like the clouds mysterious and secret,
Just like the clouds his protection shines through,
Just like the clouds, never blue,

One day he lived, the next he died,
One day he smiled, the next he frowned,
One day he cried, the next he killed,
Slowly watching as the blood seeped.

Cutting deeper, deeper and then all of a sudden,
No way back for him to turn,
Blood everywhere where should he go?
What should he do?
Who would find him? lying there?

The questions he asked were too absurd,
Why did he do it?
Why must he die?
He is, but a child none the less,

He did it he died,
His mother she weeped,
His father he found when he reached the unexplained,
His mother found them as she too died a death,

Just like the sunset he rests at ease,
Just like the sunset the moon shines brighter,
Just like the sunset at the start of his world,
Just like the sunset gone forever.
