You're What I Did Need, by Lunaria Subscribe to rss feed for Lunaria

You're What I Did Need
You're what I did need
But not what I want
You're handsome Indeed
In my dreams you haunt

You help me through life
Now that I'm old
It cut like a knife
When you left me cold

The wound is all healed now
We're no longer a pair
To your freedom I bow
Cause I really don't care

But why do you stay here
So close to me?
Is there something still dear
In you distant memory?

Of the two of us together
So long ago
Are you bound with a tether
And tied with a bow?

What will you do when I leave?
For soon I must go
Will you remember and grieve?
Will you let the tears flow?

Then you will heal your broken heart
And look for a friend
For as you know I must depart
As most pairs come to an end

What ever reason you stay with me
I thank you for being so kind
I only have just one plea
All memory of me put behind

Start over fresh like we never were
Make a new life for yourself
See the two of us as only a blur
Put us up on the shelf

For I have someone waiting for me
In a place beyond planet Earth
We're patiently waiting 'til I am free
For my long awaited second birth

So thank you for helping me these years
You will be rewarded I'm sure
Let there be a little sadness and tears
I throw you a kiss now and bonjour.
