Just For Awhile
It was wonderful for awhile.
Your big clown smile
Your tussled hair.
Your goofy stare.
Our love was strong.
It couldn't be wrong.
Slowly the change.
It seemed so strange.
It was meant to be.
You and me.
But not forever,
Would we be together.
Just for awhile.
But we were in denial.
We wanted it to last.
But now it is past.
Nothing can stay the same.
No one is to blame.
With such resignation,
We say the word at last TERMINATION.
