Dark Clouds, by Lunaria Subscribe to rss feed for Lunaria

Dark Clouds
Dark clouds hang heavy in the morning sky
The sky is crying and I don't know why
Got up this morn expecting to see light
But it's still as dark as it was last night

Streaks of silver flash from the cloud
Crashing and bumping very loud
Now it's pouring buckets down on me
What is wrong? What could it be?

Is this what they call rain? For heaven's sake
Pretty soon there's going to be a lake
It's coming pretty close to my front door
Stop now already I don't want no more

Behind the dark cloud sun tries to shine
Together now dark and light combine
A beautiful sight this dark and light cloud
So beautiful I start singing out loud

My voice rings out to heaven above
That tells of my never ending love
For clouds be they even clouds of rain
That dump on me again and again

'Tis noon and dark clouds blow away
Leaving a beautiful sunshiny day
Sometimes a little rain must fall
Even though they be williwaw or squall
