cougar mountain stumbles, by April BLue Subscribe to rss feed for April BLue

clinging to my he art that rumbles
thinking of cougar mountain stumbles

clearing the ten acres by stacking wood
cords for a quarter from the mother

told her that it was not much for the time
said if i complained she would knot give a dime

said if i protested it could be free
labor between her and me quite simply

running my ass off when that one alder went
sideways by complete surprise to dent

me on the head
running was how i fled

gut feeling told me deep inside
better watch that tree tide

felt it on the wind gently
turning around slowlee

crashing timber thunder
death was my only wonder

coal mine shafts hidden from view
nature my protector from the blue

clinging to my he art that rumbles
