Your Tights, by Don't build lies on ice cubes. Subscribe to rss feed for Don't build lies on ice cubes.

Roll them down around your fingers
Roll them up against your legs
Become trapped inside another
Hidden by a different layer

On a sunny day when the world is in view
Your stiffled from inside
On a cold day where rain lashes outside
They comfort and warm all around

They stay with you throughout time
Until that fatal day
Walking against something thats harsh
And they snag ever so slightly

At first, you may not notice it
And thats when it continues to grow
Its ruining the perfection
A ladder between you now

Or its possible you did notice
And you cried out in anguish
Tried frantically to mend it
But it is too late

Test them and see how long you can last
With that increasing snag
Just the one flaw
Which becomes greater and greater by the day

And if you ignore it, you'll stumble once more
And another snag shall appear
Ladders after ladders
Destorying again and again

You can take them off
Keep them at a distance
Increasing the gap between
It wont last

Instead you have to throw it away
It may be in saddness, knowing theres no other choice
Or with selfish glee knowing there are more around
Some things which are broken just wont mend.
