You Don't Know Me, by *~Mik@y1@~* Subscribe to rss feed for *~Mik@y1@~*

You don’t know me.
Though you think you do.
You think you know everything
Including what’s best for me too.
You think you know
What I want, who I am.
When I try to speak,
You don’t give a damn.

I love you so much
I won’t lie.
But you don’t know
How much I cry.
You won’t listen
To anything I say;
So I’ll never tell you
If I really am okay.

You don’t care
As long as you
Get whatever
You want to.
If you never
Make an attempt to see.
More than a stranger,
I never will be.

You won’t keep me
If you don’t try
To do more
Than brush me aside.
Will you ever
Know the real me?
Probably not
From what I’ve seen.

Would I ever
Even trust you?
Most likely not
After what
You’ve put me through.
Have you ever really cared?
Or am I just
A dollar sign standing there? ©
