Dark Heart (song), by *~Mik@y1@~* Subscribe to rss feed for *~Mik@y1@~*

Not very long ago
My heart was
Bright and colorful,
With the brightest glow.
Beauty and kindness,
My heart did exude.
Negativity, futility,
It always did elude.

Chorus:
My heart turned dark;
Stark with cold.
Black as night,
Such a terror to behold.
It lost its ability
To love and to care.
So dark, so evil,
Really barely there.

It was so mesmerizing.
Lovely like a rose.
With the light of life,
My heart always glowed.
Everyone wanted to see it,
Feel the power it gave.
From anger and sadness,
Many it did save.

Chorus:
My heart turned dark;
Stark with cold.
Black as night,
Such a terror to behold.
It lost its ability
To love and to care.
So dark, so evil,
Really barely there.

So beautiful, so perfect,
Was this heart of mine.
So clean, so pure,
Really quite divine.
So what happened?
What made the goodness go?
What made it die?
I do not know.

Chorus:
My heart turned dark;
Stark with cold.
Black as night,
Such a terror to behold.
It lost its ability
To love and to care.
So dark, so evil,
Really barely there.  ©
