A Losing Battle, by Simply-Me-20104 Subscribe to rss feed for Simply-Me-20104

How can pain be so numbing
And silence like drumming?
Surrounded but I’m alone
In a house but not a home
The darkness, there to stay
As the pain just eats away
Til’ you’re hollow, dried out
Not a breath left to shout
My arms ache from reaching
My hands, beseeching
Something to make me sane
Anything to dull the pain
Fingers find the piercing edge
Toes wander to the ledge
Legs and arms bear the flaw
Of these times I start to fall
The flowing pulls me back
And I try to hide the cracks
But the deeper in they pry
Makes it harder not to cry
Each morning, every night
I can’t keep up this fight
I’m losing it, I’ve lost
Wonder what it will cost
Has a disaster been declared?
Can the damage be repaired?
So hard to be hopeful in this-
Sucked into a lurid abyss
So alone and so aggrieved
Don’t mind the tears I bleed
