He won't set my world alight, by Don't build lies on ice cubes. Subscribe to rss feed for Don't build lies on ice cubes.

He won't set my world alight
Won't douse my days in petrol and oil
He won't ignite a match
Send me into anguish and turmoil

But he won't let the colours dance
He won't paint with vibrance and glitter
There won't ever be that rush of exhilerance
And I won't be left alone and bitter

No, he won't set my world alight
With sparkles turning to fires that burn
He won't leave me standing in wreckage
With no safety route to discern

Instead he would stand right by my side
And watch someone else send fireworks to the sky
He would never strip the evening of stars
And I doubt he'd make me cry

He would be solid. Stable and real.
And he would still let me dance
There wouldn't be the ups and the downs
But, is that still a romance?
