Your Perfect Girl (Poem), by YourEyesMyWords Subscribe to rss feed for YourEyesMyWords

She fakes a smile,
And walks down the hall.
As the walls seem to narrow,
She feels only so small.

She waves her arms in the air,
And laughs all of her troubles away.
But you would never guess,
That she would be the girl missing one day.

She knows how to do everything,
Is smart and can talk her way out of anything.
Yet even as her heart cracks,
You would never hear a thing.

Oh she can do all kinds of tricks,
She is also very talented.
I mean it must take skill,
To still have that smile painted.

She listens to the world,
Their problems are more important than hers.
You may think she is a saint,
But she is still just a sinner.

She is the one,
That everyone loves and adores.
She is the one,
With a fragile heart that sores.

She is the one,
That writes out this poem.
She is the one,
That never answers the phone.

She pretends she's happy,
She pretends that she believes those lies.
Yet she still has a secret,
Her biggest secret is that she cries...

All because I'm not a perfect girl....
Yet you still believe I am...
