She walks out onto the cobble road Waiting for him to be alone She pats her dress ever so lightly And then breathes in oh so slightly The streetlights dim down just a bit As she is then struck by his wit His charm his eyes his smiles is wide As he take her by the side ‘I waited for you’ he first of all says With a sparkle in his eye Little did she have to know? She then forgets and goes along “I Love you my dear,” he whispers Then first kiss, seconds then third She is in shock cannot believe her ears Did he just say that special word?
