Chains, by Unique Disaster Subscribe to rss feed for Unique Disaster

The chains fly up to take me again
To wrap me in the binding spell
To chain me down like once before
To take me back to hell

I need strength to break these chains
A strength of which I don’t own
I toss and turn to help me out
No one can help for I am on my own

These chains make a tune
A song of the day
Short and disjointed
Make the chains go away

Your chains are always there
To strap you down when weak
In conflict and emotion
A friend is what is what I seek

Brake from our chains
And reach up to the sky
Shout at the top of your lungs
Scream out in a cry

Free at last
Not to be taken
My fears have drop dead
Never to be awakened

When the links fall to the ground
I am free for a while
Until my spirit dies down again
To stop me going the mile
