Dark Cabaret, by Unique Disaster Subscribe to rss feed for Unique Disaster

She lives in a world of dark cabaret
where the shadowy things come out to play
a combination of two twisted things
a nightmare that’s pleasant, an angel without wings

Every thing's lifeless, painted black and blue
everything is nothing, the nothingness that consumes you
still it is beautiful none the less
a land of promise without regrets

She couldn't care less whether you bleed or break;
as long as she’s locked away where she feels safe
she couldn't care less whether you wither or die;
she’ll look the other way when you start to cry

She may be wicked, but she has a good heart
she’s just the result of what you get in the dark
you couldn’t understand unless you’ve seen it
but even if you have, it’s still so hard to believe it

And even if you do, it’s impossible to accept it
yet still, strangely hard to reject it
it’s a sorrowing tale where there is no happy ending
she only ever smiles when she is pretending

Maybe no one will ever make it out alive
but at least she’ll be laughing when she finally dies
When the dark cabaret in the end turns loose
She will be dangling from a firm tight noose

She lives in a world of dark cabaret
and her twisted fantasy’s where she will forever stay
there’s no need to convince her otherwise;
she wishes she could change, but she’s trapped inside

She lives in a world of dark cabaret
built on nothing but beautiful decay
you couldn’t help her no matter how hard you try;
it’s better you just leave her to rot and to die
