What if we don't make it through
Three thousand miles apart
What if i've seen you for the last time
And you no longer live in my heart

What if distance is too much
Its a burden that falls heavy on the back
Pushing down upon my spine
What if its faith that I lack?

What if my perfect love is over
Because it ended up in an unperfect situation
What if you expect me to go to you
To follow the flock in blind migration

Oh you know that I love you pure
But I'm scared love will not be enough
I'm terrified to the point I am crippled
Perhaps loving from afar is too tough

I dont get to hold your face in my open palm
I dont get to lay my head upon your chest
And what if I already had my last kiss
What if I don't know that Ive lost the best

Friend, lover, partner
You're the one that I want for life
But at three thousand and something miles apart
How can I expect to be your wife

I love you but what if we dont make it
What if a year just proves to much
What if I dont know it yet
But its no longer you I get to touch.
