Eyes Once More, by Invisible Poet Subscribe to rss feed for Invisible Poet

eyes the color of my own
gaze back into me
she believes her pain cannot be known
that no one else will ever see

sitting still letting it build within
she waits for the world to stop spinning
never was she trying to win
its as if the sins of the world on her he is pinning

she once felt alone, at a loss for a reason
meeting no one whose been through such trials
she is weighted down by invisible acts of treason
her eyes like mine bear marks of many miles

walked alone on the side of an unending highway
watching the lights pass us by
dark brown eyes waiting for the sun to birth the day
our eyes will be the last part to die

the link between eyes can not be grasped
in can be seen by no mortal being
safety she feels when in my arms she is clasped
our eyes are for much more than seeing.

This made me cry... Not exactly for being sad though. It makes me shiver everytime I read it. I love it!
