Mom's Call, by LostSoul Subscribe to rss feed for LostSoul

The phone rings and mom's on the other side
She says, "Where you going this time?"
You've been in and out for the longest time
Please come back around
Please quit the job you found

We're not getting younger
And your dad's a little weaker
And this world is getting bleaker

Mom, I know you've been worried
My travels take me to unseen places
Where people die and no one cares about these faces

I don't wanna let you down
You've been there whenever I've drowned
And know I'll always be around

But this work is the only thing I know
Ten years of always on the go
And yes I know
I've lost myself from friends I've lost
And I hope that it was worth the cause

One more year, I promise
And I'll come back home
But know that I'll always be on my own
Even though it hurts to be alone

And yes I know, "You love me"
And I'll always love you
No matter where I go
