Making Memories, by Don't build lies on ice cubes. Subscribe to rss feed for Don't build lies on ice cubes.

The night I fell in love for the last time
I was lying on a hill
He was lying next to me
And we both lay perfectly still

The stars filled the sky above us
The air was calm but it wasn't dry
We tried to keep pace with each others breath
But instead let out a contented sigh

And together we smoked a cigarette
An act which defied our years
For once we both just let ourselves be still
At peace without any fears

And I was so blissful,
So happy lying on the ground
Just us two. Me and you.
So secretly delighted at what we'd found.

But we were still cautious lovers then
Who sat in silence when words were trapped by our tongue
Dared not use the word 'love' so loosely
Although the beginning of for always had just begun

So I broke the easy silence
I told you that we were making memories to keep
And you pulled me close and held me tight
And we both knew we would fall deep

I knew we hadnt reached it yet
But I knew in that instant I loved you
The air wrapped itself around us
As the stars danced above the hill in a private show for
two.
