Five Foot Too Small (NEVER), by Lovecrafter Subscribe to rss feed for Lovecrafter

You would find it hard to believe
That I woke up five feet too small
But I swear I have nothing up my sleeve
Whatever it was, I saw it all

Dust bunnies under my bed box
As if they are alive again
Spiders chase after mites as if a fox
Whatever the time, downstairs I ran

Waking up in a wonderland
Seemed a lot easier than forever
I doubted that I would go back to bland
I went running, singing "NEVER"

Never had the world seen me
Never had anything to see
Never had the earth been free
Never had something to be

Then just as I was waking
From what seemed like an eternity
I saw the real me shaking
My head at the mirror of no pity

The few that have commented on this poem claim it reminds
them of that cute little diddy "Fireflies". Do you agree
with them? Just a yes or no will just be fine, but if you
are so inclined to write a letter, feel free.

This is so good! in some strange way, it reminds me of 'fireflies'. I love the rhyming. Rock on!Luv, Azure

to me, its like alice in wonderland, a place to escape to...but we have to come back to reality and in that lays the problem...for poets can be troubled beings, but there is always a happiness to be found...take care...i love this one.
