You had to didn't you?, by Moon
You stare at me
As I stare at you
On the couch
Made for two
Our parents watch us
Right behind us
In the shadows of the night
The lights flicker off
As the television flickers on
We surf for a channel
And find one we like
It had a marathon of movies
The scary type
Good thing we weren't in the basement
While it was dark
Or else I'd be out of there in a snap
We were to the end of the marathon
All the other ones were cheesy
But this one seemed good
So we decided to watch it
In the middle
You could tell it was time
You heard the music as you checked the clock
The killer came out and I hid my face in his chest
He smiled and kissed my forehead
I looked up and it was done
The lights flickered on
And the parents were gone
He finds a music channel
And looks at me
I close my eyes and listen to the beat
He took my chin and brought it to his face
Then pressed his lips to mine
And a feeling of everlasting love
Took over me
We now are together forever and ever
Always remembering that memory
(this never happened to me)

|For a child who is yet to experience true love, this is an awesome piece of work! It clearly shows shrewd observation and understanding of life around us. I'm impressed to say the least. Way to go Moon!
