War and Peace, by LostSoul Subscribe to rss feed for LostSoul

In broad daylight, you wanna see the real life
Of a man who saw things, that can scare you right
This is a different kind of rhyme about life
If you wanna know about what it's like

I'm not gonna paint a perfect picture
Of families that love each other
Or even friends that care about one another

When you livin' in a life full of dreams
But all you ever hear in life are screams
Those dreams don't amount to what it seems

When it's dangerous to walk by yourself
And it's safer to go to war, than live in this place
And you see your friends going to waste
I'd rather be fightin' where it's safe

At least in war you know who you can trust
They won't turn you to the enemy and survival is a must

You come home and nothing is what it seems
Your friends screwing your girl
While your fighting the world
And you are left with the scars
Sometimes I'd rather go to war
Take me to a place that's far

Blood, sweat and tears, that's life
This is just a portion of strife
You can call this part one
Of releasing, I'm done
