I THINK I CAN

By Ernestine Maxwell •
I think I can make it,
I truly think I can;
I think I can weather this storm.
Though the wind blows
And the lightening flashes,
I think God will keep me from harm!
He said in the Bible
That rain would come down,
On the just and the unjust man.
So even though it's raining,
I'll not be complaining;
I'll make it, 'cause I think I can!
I think I can make it,
I truly think I can;
I think I can weather this storm.
Though the wind blows
And the lightening flashes,
I think God will keep me from harm!
He said in the Bible
That rain would come down,
On the just and the unjust man.
So even though it's raining,
I'll not be complaining;
I'll make it, 'cause I think I can!
I think I can make it,
But I need to change
The way that I think in my heart.
For I've not been thinking
On things that I should,
But I have decided to start.
It says in the Bible,
In the midst of the storm,
Hold on to his loving hand.
So when it starts raining,
I'll not be complaining;
I'll make it, 'cause I think I can!
I think I can make it,
Because I have faith
In myself and in my Lord.
When lightening flashes
And thunder rolls,
I'll take Him at his word.
For He said in the Bible
He's a refuge from storms,
On seas or on the land.
So when it is raining,
I'll not be complaining;
I'll make it, 'cause I think I can!
