Broken Barrier, by Acushla Subscribe to rss feed for Acushla

a barrier broken down
so i reach to touch, to hold
the flame, your burning heart
i thought it wasnt cold

but the fire began to dim
slowly replaced by transparent ice
i watched in sheer horror
as i could feel the pain, the slice

ripped apart by the seams
i was caught between the two
half of me engulfed
the other still stuck to you

and now i stand here frozen
not quite but almost there
what am i to do?
when im convinced you care
