The Dam, by LostSoul Subscribe to rss feed for LostSoul

It starts with a small crack
A developing hole so black
From neglect and without love

The small crack widens
As neglect beckons...

A salty water slowly builds
No amount of mighty shields
Can stop the flow
Dripping so slow
As the waters flow
And slowly go

The overburdened dam is filling up
No amount of repair can keep it up
Fast uncontrollable rush of water
Upon the walls building up

Until the dam fills and overflows
And with uncontrollable rush
The dam bursts...no more hush

Nothing to stop the flow
So much pain and sorrow
Waiting for another tomorrow
For no more sorrows
