The End of August, by Lillian Subscribe to rss feed for Lillian

"LOOKING BACK... IT'S WHAT I'D DIE FOR.
A FRIENDSHIP I PAINT, UNTOUCHABLE."

Loyalty! That is what we've got. Friendship! Another thing
we share. Trust! I know we trust one another. Love! The
thing that kept us together.

I remember last summer. You were terrible to me at times.
Also you were still my lover. Saying sweet words to me about
the past when we communicated online.

Eventually death stared me in the face and I called you.
Not a minute went by. You came to me like you used to. You
held me as I cried.

Now I think of those days and nights. I miss them and I
wonder if you do too. Because I don't want to repeat those
fights. To get back to our August with you.

"JESUS, DOES ANYONE?"
