Hue Of Blue, by Don't build lies on ice cubes. Subscribe to rss feed for Don't build lies on ice cubes.

What hue of blue are you today?
Oh pretty maiden fair
The sun is sparkling upon the waves
Yet your face is full of despair

Are you lost in a hue of blue,
Does it pull you into the sea so deep,
Can you not see the light dance on the surface,
And is this why you weep?

Oh girl with the darkened hair
That glimmers in the light of the sky
Why are your green eyes a shade of blue
Oh I wish my girl you'd tell me why

What hue of blue is haunting you
It's a colour that I can not place
Its full of pain, hurt and sadness
Trailing silver lines across your face

This hue of blue is so out of the norm
Oh beautiful child what does it mean?
I wish it were the hue of stability and calm
Or the blue of a king and queen

And yet I fear this hue of blue
Is reflective of your soul
The hue of blue is fragmented on you
So your heart can not be whole

Oh girl I love you please don't be blue
I'll be your strength you know,
And I'll hold you inside of me
So together we'll paint our rainbow
