You never realize how heavy your head is until your neck
doesn't work.
Crushing weight, a bowling ball balancing on a toothpick.

You never know how heavy a heart is until its been broken.
Hard, sharp pieces pressing down through your body, tearing
holes right through.

You never realize how heavy your words are until they come
back to sting.
A million bees attacking your exposed flesh, assaulting you,
hundreds of bites a second.

You never realize how connected everything is until a piece
is missing.
An ankle snapped, forces you to your hands and knees.

You never realize how much you love someone until they're
gone.
Broken bones will never amount to the pain of a broken
heart.
