Winter

The snow is coming down real fast.
We have a sheet of white at last.
To cover up the dirty brown
That one sees all over town.

Step outside and Jack Frost will bite
Your tender cheek with all his might
Better wear your boots and mittens
And keep inside your pups and kittens.

Load up your fire place with wood.
Lay the bear rug, I think you should.
Make a batch of fresh eggnog.
And now throw on another log.

Now the fire's nice and hot.
I think it's time for the tea pot.
Lay some cookies on a plate.
Hurry now, it's getting late.

Turn the lights down real low
And light the candles in a row
Choose ones that are red and green.
Put some Holly in between.

Put on some music nice and slow.
Sit beside me and watch the snow.
If we should chance to fall asleep,
I know the angels their watch will keep.
