The night before

December moon shines out of a darkened sky
Reflecting off the new fallen snow
Morning is approaching nigh
When childrens eyes will be aglow

But now while all is silent and stilled
And everyones sleep is sound
I am seeing everyones wishes fulfilled
I swing my bag to the ground

As my sleigh hovers above the earth
My reindeer stand wagging their tails
I work my magic with joy and mirth
My choice of presents never fails

I hurry now to finish my work
Soon moon will change places with sun
On this night I never shirk
The reindeer want this night to be done

On Dancer, on Prancer, on Vixen and Fred
On Donner, on Betty, on Blooper and Snorf
The night is over, we must be back to the shed
Hot toddys await us at our home in the North

Away fly the reindeer at the sound of hot toddys
That's why they want this night to be done
There will be eight happy fur bodys
My hasn't this night been fun?

MERRY XMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT.
