Hopes wasted on Daylight Savings., by sharonrenee Subscribe to rss feed for sharonrenee

In the dark of endless night
Stars of the distance
Remind our hearts
Of the light we once knew
They’d promise us
Our heart’s deepest desires
As a dream we’d cast
Into the mysterious abyss
Wanting the abyss to make it so
Tiny pin pricks of hope
In the vast canvas of dark
Give their word through the silence
That we will have our mortal whims
How to believe this divine assurance
When our shining hope,
Is not but a pin prick of light
In the endless expanse of dark?
Some people like to wish on stars
It is their hope and promise
But I know their will be a brighter ‘morrow
I pity those who wish on stars
Because the sun will break this endless night
And the stars of the distance
Will be Gone
