Let Them Be As Men, by Sarah Subscribe to rss feed for Sarah

Let them be as men,
always praised, loved, honored, hated
but never free from all the power given them.

I'd rather be a beautiful, intelligent, woman
breaking free, like a butterfly from it's cocoon,
in the tallest of trees.

To have total freedom to be who i want to be,
to be wild, feel excitement in seeing new things
passing threw the open sea.

To be adventurous by falling in love
taking my heart, my soul, far from pain
or to the end of the world and back again

I'd rather be a beautiful woman,and if
then shunned by everyone,
than to be a powerful male
in his office,
where they're praised and worshiped
by all who soround him

I'd rather smell of beauty and sweet flowers
than of power and sweat
If I could stand alone, strong and free,
I'd rather be a beautiful, intelligent woman
